If you developed a loyal following and are providing highly searched information on your blog that is hard to monetize, you can ask your readers for donations. Your readers will be highly likely to donate as the information that you are providing them with could be very hard to find somewhere else. For example, you can save people a lot of time, money and energy providing reviews of products that they are considering to purchase. You can provide in detail, your experiences or success/failure with any given product.

Many people will be grateful for your information and will support you by donating in order to keep your blog going. You can easily add a PayPal "donate" button to your blog to enable your readers to contribute. You have nothing to lose by doing this and it would provide an avenue for your readers to show you their appreciation by donating money if they think that information you provide is valuable to them.

Be Your Own Boss!

When I was growing up, my late Father ran a little hardware business at the bottom of the town. Day after day he would sit in that little shop – waiting for people to walk by and perhaps come in. He spent 25 years of his life waiting for his customers to turn up to buy something and put some cash in the till. He always dreamed of being his own boss – of having his name above the door – of being a successful businessman.

True – he was his own boss – but as far a making money and securing true financial freedom, the whole retail business model is flawed ... at least for the small business person … and it simply DOESN’T WORK! I know that’s a bold statement, but it’s true. In all my years I have yet to meet a well-off shopkeeper.  I have yet to meet a shopkeeper for instance who can pay himself £125,000 a month … even if they spent most of the year out of the shop.  You and I know, it just doesn’t happen in traditional business set-ups.

In fact, its just plain impossible to earn a great living traditionally because the business model used is basically that of a small shop.  One where you are essentially just opening your doors in the morning and waiting in all day for people (customers) to walk in and browse/buy. What a waste of time … what an awful waste of a life.  Its so, so sad. And it’s a situation which especially touches me as I watched helpless as my Father did exactly that for 25 years of his valuable life.  I’ve seen it first hand how it destroys a person’s life.  How it kills their dreams and leaves their hopes in tatters.

But there is an alternative….one where you can work WHERE you want, from your laptop computer…where you can work WHEN you want – you choose your own hours….where start up costs are low – no big overheads, no premises to buy or rent…where your customer sends you the cash for his order before you send the products - and you never have to keep loads of stock.

In my Dads shop, he used to carry something in the order of 16,000 items of stock just to meet the possible future demand of his customers. It was no good having just one size of screw or nail – you had to stock all sizes and finishes to meet your customers demands.

But with a ‘Cash On Demand’ business, you sell DVD’s, CD’s and manuals – items that can be run off on your PC AFTER you get an order. Of course, if you get a lot of sales in, you can also use outside duplication houses to help you meet the demand – but certainly when starting out you can maintain a positive cash flow through keeping stocks to a minimum.

It’s a great business and one that I now teach in Bootcamp seminars and through my step by step monthly Cash On Demand course.

I still have that sad image in my mind of my Dad hanging around in a cold shop waiting for customers to come in and buy something.  And all just so he could make enough money to clothe and feed us each month. It was a depressing sight as he struggled day to day just to try to ‘keep his head above water’. And I find it sadder … as I still do when I see so many others going it alone down the traditional business route … that even before he started his shop (traditional business), he spent years dreaming about ‘being his own boss’.

If only he (and others) realised that his desire was misguided, that in most cases ‘being your own boss’ is more like ‘being your own prison warden’ in reality.  You create a situation you can’t escape from … you become entrapped. 

Its one of the factors which influenced me in writing my Cash On Demand course  - to genuinely help other ordinary people like me to start and run a business of their own  … but to make sure they don’t make the same terrible mistakes my father did.

1. So your looking for extra ways to earn money from your computer? Who can blame you. With unemployment running rampant in this country, it's the highest it's been since the great depression. Now talk about scary. People are flocking to the computer in droves looking for a legitimate way to make some extra spending cash. But what works? And what doesn't? In generating a nice side income that you can be proud of. I'm here to set the record straight on what I have found out through a lot of trial and error. So here's what works for me in generating a nice cushy side income from my Dell home computer. Keep reading this article gets good!

2. Step 2

   I have tried everything under the sun to help push me in the right direction to ditch my boring 9 to 5 job. I tried survey sites, yeah you can make a few bucks but nothing substantial, and you probably will not qualify for most. I have tried dropshipping on Ebay trying to earn a few extra bucks. Few being the keyword. I found out if your using a dropshipping company to get your merchandise through. It is very hard to earn any kind of substantial profit from it. Why shipping is to high, and it's very hard selling an item that is not a niche and competing with the Ebay power sellers. Case in point: If you don't have a lot of your own merchandise to sell, I wouldn't even bother. Especially in today's economy and the new rules being imposed on Ebay users.

3. Step 3

   So I wrote these two online ventures off as losses and I moved on. Boy I am glad I did, Here is what I discovered affiliate marketing. Here is a quick definition of it for those of you who aren't familiar with this business model. Affiliate marketing is basically where you the affiliate get paid a commission for the successful sale, or sometimes even a click through, of a merchants product through your affiliate link. For example: Say your an affiliate for Pet Smart for example, and you recommend your friend to buy this product everyone's raving about. your good friend loves buying stuff online, and why shouldn't they? You save money on gas, and the headache of driving 10 miles because where you live that's the closest one around. Your friend purchases this product, through your affiliate link or banner. You just made yourself a nice commission through your efforts. Now it's important to remember! I just used this as an example there are literally billions of products, and millions of merchants out there. Who are looking to pay you to successfully market and sell there products, and pay you a handsome commission for doing so. Sound interesting? It should there is billions of dollars being exchanged every year through affiliate marketing. Sound like a good way to earn some extra money from your computer? You bet it does. Here is some affiliate programs I recommend where you can sign up for free.

4. Step 4

   Clickbank is my number 1 choice because the pay outs are ridiculous. Which is a very good thing I might add! Up to 75% commission on products that can sell for up to a couple hundred dollars. They have been in business for over 10 years and have paid out billions to affiliates working from home to date. Two thumbs up for clickbank. 2 other great affiliate programs are commission junction, and linkshare. They are 2 powerhouses in the industry, and have some big name companies you can market for. Great selection of vendors, and big name companies, gives these 2 another big thumbs up from me. Did I mention its free to sign up for these companies! Your first step would be to grab a free account with a few of these programs. Get to work, pick a few products you would like to market for. And try to make some extra money. Believe me once you learn a few tricks it's not that difficult at all.

5. Step 5

   Learn some tips on affiliate marketing maybe read a good ebook. I would recommend that you learn the bum marketing method. It should only take you about 20 minutes to get a basic understanding of their methods, And it is free. Here's some things you can do for free promoting your affiliate products. Write classifieds - craigslist, usfreeads, and kijiji are my favorites. Post in online forums related to whatever your selling. Write articles ehow, ezinearticles, and hubpages are my favorites. Start a website down the road the opportunities are endless. Remember the more you put into it the more you will inevitably get out of it. Remember knowledge is power, if your a beginner read a few good ebooks on affiliate marketing. And get to work, You will be raking in the extra money from your computer in no time flat. Cash and Pay-per-click Affiliate Programs

Millions are paying to get a ride on the Information Super Highway everyday. Now, it is widely known that the Internet is an accessible resource of many income-generating activities. Whether you belong to a private sales company or you are just interested in internet marketing, PPC affiliate programs can be a powerful venue to make money from the Internet. A partnership with an affiliate merchant is a win-win situation for the merchant and the affiliate: sales are soaring because of exposure and traffic while the affiliate is earning good cash.

To make things much simpler: the affiliate merchant provides a strip of advertisement and pays you when someone clicks on the ad’s link. You can get a commission of $0.10 to $0.30 for every click, but it sometimes it can go higher depending on your merchant affiliate. Sometimes, merchants require a quota ($1.4 for every 1000 clicks). Plus, you can get discounts from your merchant affiliates if you happen to like their products too. You can just kick back and relax while your website is generating cash. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

We are faced by a dilemma – on how to increase traffic! You first need to get internet surfers to see your website, then the ad.

How do I increase my traffic?

First, design your website in such a way that it will attract internet users. A user-friendly site is always recommended so that the customers will know which one to click. Take into consideration the look and feel of the advertisement. If it doesn’t look professional, most likely, users will just ignore it. Place the ad on a strategic location – one where users can see it clearly. Visibility of the ad is always important.

Another way is to post a link to your website in forums, web communities, ezine articles or bulletin boards. However, this method requires a lot of effort – that defeats your purpose of getting easy money in the first place! The key is to do something once and forget about it. It’s like putting your business on autopilot. To maintain you pay-per-click business, be sure to track down site activity, so you are updated on how much money you are making.

Can I make more money?

If you think you can go to the next level, you can try a two-tier affiliate program. This gives you the power to recruit affiliates. Other than the money you get from your website’s clicks, you will also get a percentage of what your affiliate generates. Some companies give 30% to a soaring 50% commission on all referral sales.

Remember, you should be able to manage and monitor your affiliate program. If you can recruit more affiliates, then you can get paid more without even moving a finger! Choose affiliates that can most likely attract more internet users and bring more traffic. You just have to know the right people.
