1. So your looking for extra ways to earn money from your computer? Who can blame you. With unemployment running rampant in this country, it's the highest it's been since the great depression. Now talk about scary. People are flocking to the computer in droves looking for a legitimate way to make some extra spending cash. But what works? And what doesn't? In generating a nice side income that you can be proud of. I'm here to set the record straight on what I have found out through a lot of trial and error.    I have tried everything under the sun to help push me in the right direction to ditch my boring 9 to 5 job. I tried survey sites, yeah you can make a few bucks but nothing substantial, and you probably will not qualify for most. I have tried dropshipping on Ebay trying to earn a few extra bucks. Few being the keyword. I found out if your using a dropshipping company to get your merchandise through. It is very hard to earn any kind of substantial profit from it. Why shipping is to high, and it's very hard selling an item that is not a niche and competing with the Ebay power sellers. Case in point: If you don't have a lot of your own merchandise to sell, I wouldn't even bother. Especially in today's economy and the new rules being imposed on Ebay users.

   So I wrote these two online ventures off as losses and I moved on. Boy I am glad I did, Here is what I discovered affiliate marketing. Here is a quick definition of it for those of you who aren't familiar with this business model. Affiliate marketing is basically where you the affiliate get paid a commission for the successful sale, or sometimes even a click through, of a merchants product through your affiliate link. For example: Say your an affiliate for Pet Smart for example, and you recommend your friend to buy this product everyone's raving about. your good friend loves buying stuff online, and why shouldn't they? You save money on gas, and the headache of driving 10 miles because where you live that's the closest one around. Your friend purchases this product, through your affiliate link or banner. You just made yourself a nice commission through your efforts. Now it's important to remember! I just used this as an example there are literally billions of products, and millions of merchants out there. Who are looking to pay you to successfully market and sell there products, and pay you a handsome commission for doing so. Sound interesting? It should there is billions of dollars being exchanged every year through affiliate marketing. Sound like a good way to earn some extra money from your computer? You bet it does.    Clickbank is my number 1 choice because the pay outs are ridiculous. Which is a very good thing I might add! Up to 75% commission on products that can sell for up to a couple hundred dollars. They have been in business for over 10 years and have paid out billions to affiliates working from home to date. Two thumbs up for clickbank. 2 other great affiliate programs are commission junction, and linkshare. They are 2 powerhouses in the industry, and have some big name companies you can market for. Great selection of vendors, and big name companies, gives these 2 another big thumbs up from me. Did I mention its free to sign up for these companies! Your first step would be to grab a free account with a few of these programs. Get to work, pick a few products you would like to market for. And try to make some extra money. Believe me once you learn a few tricks it's not that difficult at all.

5. Step 5

   Learn some tips on affiliate marketing maybe read a good ebook. I would recommend that you learn the bum marketing method. It should only take you about 20 minutes to get a basic understanding of their methods, And it is free. Here's some things you can do for free promoting your affiliate products. Write classifieds - craigslist, usfreeads, and kijiji are my favorites. Post in online forums related to whatever your selling. Write articles ehow, ezinearticles, and hubpages are my favorites. Start a website down the road the opportunities are endless. Remember the more you put into it the more you will inevitably get out of it. Remember knowledge is power, if your a beginner read a few good ebooks on affiliate marketing. And get to work, You will be raking in the extra money from your computer in no time flat.
